It is wonderful to see a Bobcat saunter by your back deck. That's just what happened to Thom Matson at his home on The Sea Ranch.

You can clearly see its tufted ears and short, bobbed tail. Below is another photo of the Bobcat, walking across a meadow with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop.

Bobcats love gophers and The Sea Ranch meadows have plenty of them!

Bobcats are being seen more frequently the past couple of weeks. It appears the mothers are hunting for "real" food for their kittens. Janet Burch recently photographed one on The Sea Ranch.

You can see the Bobcat is looking right at Janet and her camera. This cat with the tufted ears and bobbed tail is a year round resident of the Mendonoma Coast. Look for them in grassy meadows hunting for their favorite food - gophers!

We never can get enough of good Bobcat photos. Bobcats are thriving on the Mendonoma Coast. Here they hunt in the daytime, giving photographers a chance to get a wonderful wildlife photo. Jane Larrow did just that.

And here the Bobcat turned to look back at Jane.

Bobcats are about twice the size of a house cat. They have tufted ears and bobbed tails. Gophers are among their favorite snacks.

Mark and Kitty Simkins have a resident Bobcat that gives them multiple chances for sightings of the cat with the tufted ears and bobbed tail. Here are two recent photos. Mark titled the first one "Bobcat looking at me."

And below the Bobcat has found a nice fat gopher for dinner.

Bobcats are thriving on the Mendonoma Coast. Their favorite meal - gophers - are abundant in meadows. One particularly handsome Bobcat has been spotted in the Iversen Road area, which is north of Anchor Bay. Jeff and Pearl Watts have been fortunate to spot this Bobcat several times. In the photo below you can clearly see this cat's tufted ears.

Thanks to Jeff for allowing me to share his beautiful photos with you here.
