Ron Bolander noticed this Bobcat a ways off in a meadow along Lighthouse Road in Point Arena.

You can clearly see this Bobcat's tufted ears. They love Gophers and Voles and such. The meadows on the way in to the Point Arena Lighthouse have an ample supply!

Thanks to Ron for allowing me to share his photos with you here.

oh, what a beautiful day today. Flat ocean, sunny skies, temps in the low 60's. Gray Whales are going by our portion of the coast now, headed south to the lagoons off Baja.

James Adams spotted this beautiful Bobcat hunting in a meadow on The Sea Ranch.

You can see the tufted ears in James' photo. Fun fact: each Bobcat's markings are unique, just like our fingerprints.

Thanks to James for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

We are having sunny but windy weather today. The northwest wind causes upwelling in the Pacific Ocean, igniting the entire food chain.

Allen Vinson got lucky when this Bobcat strolled by, nicely accented by a Douglas Iris in bloom.

Then the Bobcat looked at Allen and he got this photo of its face. You can clearly see the tufted ears.

Bobcats are year round residents of the Mendonoma Coast. It is always a treat to see one - unless you have chickens!

Allen Vinson looked out his Sea Ranch home and saw a Bobcat on its back with its feet in the air, obviously scratching its back. The Bobcat then stood up and stared right at Allen!

The cat with the tufted ears and bobbed tail actually took a few strides towards Allen. But it veered off and went its own way, leaving Allen in peace.
