Paul Kozal found this immense Boletus edulis on The Sea Ranch.

It weighed well over four pounds. It's certainly the biggest one I've ever seen and Paul agrees.

Carol Kozal took this photo of Paul and I thank her for allowing me to share it with you here.

Allen Vinson looked out his Sea Ranch home and saw a Bobcat on its back with its feet in the air, obviously scratching its back. The Bobcat then stood up and stared right at Allen!

The cat with the tufted ears and bobbed tail actually took a few strides towards Allen. But it veered off and went its own way, leaving Allen in peace.

Thanks to Allen for allowing me to share his photo with you here.

Before clouds rolled in, the sunrise this morning was amazing. Carolyn André was up early, and she sent along these beautiful photos of the sunrise from The Sea Ranch.

This is the end of the mating season of our local Black-tailed Deer. Big Bucks migrate onto the Coast and fight over which Does will be in their harem. Glenn Funk photographed this handsome Buck in Anchor Bay - perhaps he needed a rest after chasing all his Does.

Allen Vinson spotted what he thought were porpoises. Luckily Allen had his camera with him. They turned out to be Bottle-nosed Dolphins and they sure seemed to be enjoying themselves. A group could be seen surfing a wave together, again and again.
