Paul Kozal has trained his camera on high and low tides on the Mendonoma Coast. The contrast is amazing. The top photo shows a King Tide, a very high tide at Shell Beach on The Sea Ranch.

And the bottom photo shows the exact same place at low tide. Paul also photographed Iversen Cove's high and low tide. I will share them with you here tomorrow.

Allen Vinson recently took this beautiful photo of sunbeams shining through the forest.

The morning sun painted a pretty picture in late December in a forest on The Sea Ranch.

Over a year ago this Buck was spotted on The Sea Ranch missing the lower part of its back right leg. We don't know how this Buck was injured but nature has a way of cauterizing a wound like this. The Buck was named Tripod by Adrian Bennett.  George Marshall recently photographed this Buck, so he is managing to survive despite his disability.

This Buck is surviving, and even thriving, living lightly on the land at TSR.

Craig Tooley photographed a recent early morning off The Sea Ranch.

Another recent photo shows two seasonal waterfalls - just beautiful!

Tomorrow, Saturday Dec. 27th, Craig and I will be at the Four-eyed Frog Bookstore in Gualala signing our book, Mendonoma Sightings Throughout the Year. 2 to 4 pm. If you are town, stop by and say hello!

All the rain we've had has brought seasonal waterfalls to life. Allen Vinson recently photographed the waterfall at Stengel Beach.

Beautiful waterfall at Stengel Beach by Allen Vinson

Isn't it beautiful?  Stengel Beach is a public access point on The Sea Ranch. There is a very short trail out to the bluffs to see this waterfall.
