Bettye Winters photographed the iconic Point Arena Lighthouse last Saturday during a beautiful sunset. There was a green flash that night, which Bettye admits she missed. (Full disclosure, I missed photographing it too!) But Bettye said, "At least I caught the light of the Lighthouse!"

Point Cabrillo Light Station is a California State Historic Park. It's found between the village of Mendocino and Fort Bragg, about halfway between Russian Gulch State Park and Caspar Beach, on Point Cabrillo Drive. Paul Brewer photographed a recent sunrise and sunset at Jenner. Jenner is where the Russian River empties into the Pacific Ocean.
Jenner is also where a pair of Bald Eagles has been spotted for the past several years. We think there is an active nest, as a juvenile was seen there too.
