When a storm moves on it sometimes leaves unsettled weather behind it. That was the case recently when we had rainbows, even a hail storm and beautiful sunsets. Bettye Winters photographed one of the rainbows near Irish Beach.

And below is the hail storm, which I photographed from our deck. It hit us some minutes later.

And the few remaining clouds made for a dramatic sunset Friday night.

Thanks to Bettye for allowing me to share her rainbow photo.

The song goes, "March went out like a Lion..." but here on the Mendonoma Coast April is acting like a Lion. Yesterday's weather was wild with a bit of everything thrown in the mix. That brought a chance for rainbows and Tom Eckles was ready with his new iPad, which he calls an iPad3. A beautiful rainbow appeared in front of Tom's Gualala home, framed by two trees.

Today the story has been the incredible cloud show ever changing in the western sky. I took this photo from our deck in Anchor Bay this morning.

Mother Nature was a drama queen yesterday. Rain, hail, wind, crashing surf, brilliant sunshine and rainbows. Yes, Sunday had it all, weather-wise. But any day you see rainbows is a good day.

Peggy Berryhill was out walking her dogs at Gualala Point Regional Park mid-morning when she was gifted with this rainbow. Lucky for us, she photographed it and has allowed me to share it with you here.

That's a peek of the Gualala River to the right. Further to the right is the town of Gualala, all embraced by a lovely rainbow.

Peggy is the General Manager of Gualala's newest radio station, KGUA, 88.3 FM.

Our seasonal creeks are running strong and fast after the second storm dumped three inches of rain yesterday. With the showers this morning came a beautiful rainbow.

We had a very high tide this morning and the waves are huge! Even a half mile away and inside my house I can hear the ocean's roar.

My best to you on this rainbow day! Jeanne Jackson, Gualala

The early rains continue as yet another storm hits the Mendonoma Coast. But a storm's aftermath gives us a chance for rainbows out on the Pacific Ocean. Carolyn André recently photographed one at The Sea Ranch and has kindly allowed me to share it with you here.

Wild mushrooms should be making an early appearance this year!
