After a recent small storm, Perry Hoffman found this beautiful sight. The town of Gualala is on the right.

Rainbow days are to be cherished!

Thanks to Perry for allowing me to share his photo with you here. To see more of Perry's photography and other art projects, here is the link to his website: https://magentaraven.com/

Today has been spectacular - brilliant sunshine, no wind, a glassy ocean, and temps in the low 70's. We know it won't last but, for today, it's enough. More than enough.

I never get tired of rainbows and I hope you don't either! Cooks Beach is a beautiful pocket beach north of Gualala. Steve Bennett recently got this photo of the beach and a lovely rainbow.

Wow, we had an early morning downpour, 0.50 inches, and 48.52 season to date. More rain coming starting Sunday afternoon. But when you look at next week, after Monday it looks like spring is arriving early on the Mendonoma Coast!

We've had stormy weather which often brings rainbows. Perry Hoffman captured magic with his photo of a rainbow over the Pacific Ocean. You'd have to swim to get that pot of gold!

Paul Brewer photographed this big rainbow in Gualala.

Chris Braley may have photographed the same rainbow as Paul but she was at the Gualala River, on the Gualala Bluff Trail.

It's always a treat to see rainbows! Thanks to Perry, Chris and Paul for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

At Rick's and my place in Anchor Bay, we received 2.75 inches of rain from the storm. 23.96 season to date. Seasonal creeks are roaring today! It's a great time to look for waterfalls.

We had a lot of unsettled weather for a few days, and it continues today with rain showers now and then. On Sunday morning, I looked out and saw this rainbow.

About fifteen minutes later, I saw this beautiful fogbow.

Amazing, but true!

As I write this post this afternoon, the sun is shining brightly on the wet ground.

Earlier this month Sarah Woods photographed a rainbow in a most unique and unusual way, rainbow haloed sunbeams streaming through the Redwoods.

She wrote, “I took these photos right outside our home on Redwood Way in Gualala. I was changing out of wet clothes from a walk with my husband and saw the sunbeams. Little did I know I would see a rainbow halo surrounding them. It was truly a miraculous sighting.”

I've never seen anything quite like this! Thanks to Sarah for allowing me to share her photos with  you here.

It's cool and cloudy today, but there is no wind. This weekend could be just about perfect, weather-wise.
