The Sea Ranch has a small army of sheep and goats that munch down the grasses, helping to keep the fire danger low. Recently little lambs have appeared, the essence of cuteness. Betty Bailey recently photographed one on top of what she thought was a rock. The rock turned out to be the lamb's mother!

Here's a cute photo Allen Vinson took several years ago of two lambs enjoying the sun.

The Sea Ranch Sheep even have their own website - https://www.thesearanchsheep.com/

You can find out where the flock is on any given day. Thanks to Betty and Allen for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

Cool and foggy this morning has given way to sunny and mild.

One sign of spring is the appearance of the first Harbor Seal pups. Here's a photo of a newborn pup. It's important to keep humans and dogs off the beaches where these pups are born. At The Sea Ranch, near Shell Beach, docents are on the bluffs to inform people about their presence.

Here the newborn is nursing. Doesn't the mom look blissful?

And lambs appear at The Sea Ranch flock. Life is good when all you have to do is munch the fresh grasses!

I'll be sharing more photos of spring with you in the days ahead. Thanks to Allen for allowing me to share his photos with you here. To see more of Allen's nature photography, here is his website: http://allenvinson.smugmug.com/

Lambs, the essence of cuteness, are charming people on The Sea Ranch. Allen Vinson recently photographed part of the flock.

The sheep, along with a few goats, help keep the grasses munched down. They've also become a tourist attraction.

Thanks to Allen for allowing me to share his photo with you here.
