Cathleen Crosby and her granddaughter, Tali, were traveling down Highway One when a waterfall was pushed backwards by the wind.

Enough water crossed Highway One that Cathleen needed to put on her windshield wipers, and it happened several times as she passed different waterfalls! Now this doesn't happen very often.

A another vigorous storm hit the coast early this morning. Two more inches of rain, so waterfalls will be pumped up again.

Thanks to Cathleen for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Bob Harrison came across these two Turkey Vultures with their wings extended along old Highway One near Westport. Fog shrouded the air.

Turkey Vultures extend their wings to dry them in the sun, and to have the sun burn off any microbes from the carrion they eat. I suppose some rays must penetrate the fog. It's a startling sighting, to be sure!

Thanks to Bob for allowing me to share his photo with you here. We are waiting for another welcome rainstorm tonight.

The remnants of a hurricane off Mexico brought some needed rain to our south, but on the Mendonoma Coast we just got a few sprinkles. We did however have an awesome sunset. Anne Mary Schaefer photographed the sunset reflected in storm clouds to the east near Manchester.

And Holly McCarroll took this photo from Highway One.

Just beautiful, a feast for the eyes! Thanks to Anne Mary and Holly for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

Bill Lange was recently traveling along curvy Highway One when he saw this scene.

Last December Bill stopped at the same place and took this photo - the ocean is shrouded in fog.

Thanks to Bill for allowing me to share his photos with you here.

Elizabeth Lane was traveling on Highway One when she had to stop her car for nearly fifteen minutes. Two Bulls were pushing and shoving their way across the highway.

One Bull got the better of the other and they finally parted ways. No harm, no foul.

That's a true Mendonoma traffic jam.

Thanks to Elizabeth for allowing me to share her photos with you here.
