Pine White Butterflies have appeared. Karen Tracy recently photographed one near her home.

I took the next photo of one of these butterflies feeding on a blooming succulent in my garden.

And Drew Fagan photographed one feeding on lavender.

These butterflies lay their eggs in the bark crevices of Bishop Pine trees. when they hatch and flit around they are quite lovely to see.

Drew Fagan has an Osprey nest close to his home. He photographed the male arriving.

And the last photo shows the Osprey bringing kelp to line the nest.

In the nest Rick and I can see through our spotting scope, which is a bit south of the nest Drew photographed, the two chicks are getting noticeably bigger. The scrawny chicks are now feathered out and moving about the nest. They need to get bigger and stronger before they fledge.

Just look at these clouds. They do look like starships. Drew Fagan took this photo Tuesday from his home in Gualala.

Cloud watching is a Coast tradition. No matter what walk of life you come from or what age you are, using your imagine to see objects in clouds is a fun experience.

A low pressure system has swept away the fog and brought beautiful clouds. This morning the sunrise was amazing and Drew Fagan captured it with his camera.

And last night's sunset was beautiful too. I took this photo from our deck in Anchor Bay.
