Catherine Miller photographed Douglas Irises in bloom at Pelican Bluffs. They are so lovely to see with the Pacific Ocean as their backdrop.

Many other wildflowers are blooming now. I'll be sharing more photos of them in the days ahead.

John Wall  photographed a nice, big patch of wild Iris, Douglas Iris.

These native wildflowers are booming in abundance on coastal meadows now, and they are lovely to see.

Thanks to John for allowing me to share his photo with you here. If you were looking for a spot to see many wildflowers this month, Salt Point State Park is the perfect place to visit.

Wildflower season begins early on the Mendonoma coast. One of our longest bloomers is the Douglas Iris. Marsha Dupre recently photographed some.

Barbara Rice found Indian Warriors.

Bea Hoover photographed Wild Ginger.

And Jutta Leibrock found Common Camas.

We have had rain showers this weekend, which will be wonderful for all the beautiful wildflowers. I was told on a wildflower walk led by Julia Larke that 45 different species of wildflowers were found at our new public access spot, Pelican Bluffs. That's amazing!

Thanks to all above who have allowed me to share their photos with you here.

And Baby Blue Eyes are in glorious bloom on bluffs. Bonnie Ely photographed these.

Today we are having April Showers on this Easter Sunday. And you know the saying - April showers bring May flowers!

Wildflowers are beautiful now. Yesterday's rain - we got nearly an inch at our place in Anchor Bay - freshened everything up. Many CA Poppies are blooming too, adding to the fun.
