Two Coyotes have been spotted, but only one was photographed. Looks like a very healthy Coyote is living lightly on the land at TSR. Here is Mike Petrich's photo.

Adrian Adams saw perhaps the same Coyote outside his home.

We don't see Coyotes too often, but they do wander through now and then. There are lots of gophers and other underground critters in Mendonoma Coast meadows.

Thanks to Mike and Adrian for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

The rain has left us until the middle of next week. The seven-day total of rain at Rick's and my place in Anchor Bay is 8.91 inches. 50.34 season to date. We are having an excellent rainy season. Today is cool with some clouds interspersed by brilliant sunshine. The Gualala River is running strong and muddy! Here's a photo I took this morning behind Trink's.

Gail Jackson photographed what we think is a young Coyote. See if you can spot him or her in Gail's photo.

I wonder how Gail knew a Coyote was in the brush! Here's a close-up of the Coyote.

Thanks to Gail for allowing me to share her photos with you here. To see much more of Gail's nature photography, here is the link to her website: https://gailyimages.com/

It's stormy on the Mendonoma Coast today! I bet the mushrooms are loving the rain.

Several times Perry Hoffman has spotted a Coyote at the Lands. These first two photos were from a few weeks ago. This coyote looks pretty thin, and perhaps old - there is a lot of white on his/her muzzle.

Recently Perry saw this Coyote - the same one? - walking amidst the Black Angus beef cattle.

The Coyote sure doesn't seem to bother the cows!

Thanks to Perry for allowing me to share his photos with you here.

Perry tells me he has some of his artwork entered in Gualala Art's "Art in the Redwoods," which will be held this coming weekend, August 19 and 20. It's always a great event to attend. I'll be ringing bells in a sextet both days from 11:30 to 1 pm. You can read more about it at Gualala Art's website at this link: https://gualalaarts.org/

At 5 am this morning, lightning woke some of us up, lightning over the ocean.  Luckily it stayed offshore. Today is cloudy and cool. We even have a chance of a few raindrops!

Gail Jackson was at Gualala Point Regional Park at sunrise when she spotted this Coyote on Monday, October 17.

Four weeks ago, Eric Zetterholm photographed theses two Coyotes above Reef Campground, near Fort Ross. I wonder if one of these two might have traveled up the coast to GPRP.

We don't see Coyotes very often here on the Mendonoma Coast.

Thanks to Gail and Eric for allowing me to share their photos with you here.

It's a beautiful Autumn day here today, temps in the 60s with some high clouds passing by, and a nice breeze. Humpbacks were seen yesterday!

Eric Zetterholm almost couldn't believe what he was seeing. Driving home after work recently, he spotted this Coyote.

We don't see Coyotes often on the coast, but one occasionally appears. We're lucky Eric had his camera at the ready to show us this healthy-looking Coyote.

Thanks to Eric for allowing me to share his photos with you here.
