Male California Sea Lions are migrating now. In recent months the males have been hanging around the females on Fish Rocks, which is just off Anchor Bay, and a few other locations. Now the males are leaving, some going only as far as The Sea Ranch. Craig Tooley photographed a magnificent male with a Common Raven looking over its shoulder.

Allen Vinson recently photographed two White-tailed Hawks observing a Common Raven. Allen entitled his photo, "Raven - what one White-tailed Kite said to another."

Thanks to Allen for allowing me to share his fun photo with you here. To see Allen's photo of a White-tailed Kite close up, here's the link: http://www.mendonomasightings.com/2012/11/08/a-close-up-look-at-the-white-tailed-kite-allen-vinson-photographed/

This a Raven with an attitude. Tim Gonzalez and his wife, Susan, were visiting their friends, Peggy and Mike Mee, at The Sea Ranch. They noticed this big black bird staring at something in the meadow. There stood a Gray Fox, seemingly intimidated by the stern Raven.

You can just imagine what the Raven might say to the Fox. Thanks to Tim for allowing me to share his photo with you here.
