Early last week Adrian Bennett and Bill Greer saw a Doe having contractions and soon a little Fawn appeared.
Many more to follow in the days and weeks ahead.
Thanks to Adrian for allowing me to share her photo with you here.
Tomorrow, May 1st, there is the Mendocino "City Nature Challenge." Friends of Gualala River and the Redwood Coast Land Conservancy volunteers will be out from 10 am to noon at the following spots:
Hearn Gulch
Cooks Beach
Gualala Bluff Trail. I will be at the GBT from 10 to noon with Shari Goforth-Eby and Tree Mercer, with binoculars, a spotting scope and our smart phones. The idea is to photograph nature and then upload your photos to iNaturalist. We'd love to see you! It would be fun to go to each spot tomorrow.
To find directions to the three spots, here is the link to RCLC: https://www.rclc.org/
We have high clouds and mild temps today.
