A hurricane off of Hawaii swept the fog away here on the Mendonoma coast. It also sent us some tropical clouds, giving us this spectacular sunset last night.

...of a silvery moon. That's the title Vicki Albiston gave to her recent sunset photo, which shows a crescent moon and the sunset reflecting on clouds.

By the light of the silvery moon by Vicki AlbistonWe haven't seen many sunsets recently, with all the fog covering the ocean. But the fog keeps the temperatures nice and cool, and the plants moist - something to be appreciated.

Thanks to Vicki for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

It's hard not to share photos of such a beautiful sunset. Allen Vinson sent this one in, taken from a different location, this time from The Sea Ranch. It's interesting to see the clouds from a different angle.

Paul Brewer photographed the beautiful sunset from the banks of the Gualala River. You can see the river is currently closed to the Pacific Ocean by the sandbar. Past the sandbar is the ocean.
