Manchester Beach is a coast treasure with five miles of sandy beach. Anne Mary Schaefer recently photographed a sunset there with a flock of shorebirds in the foreground.

Mike Nelson visited one of his favorite beaches, Cooks Beach, recently. He was surprised to find this beautiful stone sculpture balanced on a log.

With the clouds, the ocean and the setting sun, don't you wish you were at Cooks Beach too? Here's a closeup of the stacked stones.

Cooks Beach is a Public Access Project of the Redwood Coast Land Conservancy. To learn more about this special place, here is their website:  http://rclc.org/

We have sunny, breezy weather today. It feels like spring!

Carolyn Andre captured a photo of the Pacific Ocean flowing over the sandbar of the Gualala River.

It is beautiful to see, don't you agree? Carolyn also photographed a dramatic sunset between storms.

Thanks to Carolyn for allowing me to share her photos with you here.

Hearn Gulch is such a beautiful spot, with a sea tunnel and a blowhole. Eric Duff recently photographed the scene at sunset.

Here is a photo Eric took a while ago that shows the sea tunnel with the setting sun shining through it.

And here's a photo of mine of the blowhole in action.

You find Hearn Gulch just north of Iversen Road in Mendocino County. Parking is along Highway One at mile marker 10.0. To learn more, here is the link to the Redwood Coast Land Conservancy: http://www.rclc.org/
