Kathy Bishop recently photographed this sunset in Anchor Bay.

Clouds from approaching storms, or departing storms, give Mother Nature the chance to paint the sky in various vibrant colors.

Thanks to Kathy for allowing me to share her photo with here.

Once again the beauty of a sunset took our breath away. Christmas day's sunset was amazing.

The Pacific Ocean glowed a beautiful pink and then mauve as the sunset evolved.

A nice “Merry Christmas” greeting came in from Anchor Bay Campground residents, Jim Corbett and Sheila Shapiro. I titled Sheila’s photo “Nature’s Christmas tree,” as it is made of driftwood, abalone shells, beach glass and other shells.

Thanks to Sheila for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

We are having lovely weather here on the Mendonoma Coast. And there are lots of visitors here to enjoy the balmy days. Gray Whales, heading south, are being seen. The best place to watch their migration is from the bluffs of the Point Arena Lighthouse.

Cathleen is the owner of Coasting Home, a property  management company in Gualala. On this evening Cathleen was called out on a service call. This sunset at Green Cove was her reward.

Last night's sunset was beautiful too, but today we have a little smoke from the terrible fires in Southern California. We need to start our rain dances.

Thanks to Cathleen for allowing me to share her photo with you here. If you are looking for a Mendonoma vacation rental, here is her website: http://www.coastinghome.com/

Tricia Schuster photographer this beautiful sight, with the departed sun still reflecting in the clouds.

We are expecting a pretty good storm today, so batten down the hatches!
