Richard Hansen photographed Friday night's sunset from Gualala, and what a beautiful sunset it was.

Autumn sunsets on the Mendonoma Coast can be spectacular. And they often bring the chance for a green flash. Remi Alexander got this beautiful photo on Saturday as the sun was about to set. The sun created a golden staircase across the Pacific Ocean.

Thanks to Remi for allowing me to share her photo with you here.

Bettye Winters photographed several different sunsets recently from the bluffs near Irish Beach. The Mendonoma Coast has had some early rainstorms and a cold storm is forecast for tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday. Storms to our north bring unsettled skies, which is what Bettye named this first photo.

And the photo below is an example of an autumn sunset. We are fortunate indeed to see the sun set "into" the Pacific Ocean.

And the photo below could be a painting. Bettye calls this one stormy weather.

Thanks to Bettye for allowing me to share her beautiful photos with you here.

Autumn sunsets on the Mendocino Coast will sometimes take your breath away.

Taken from our front deck in Anchor Bay, a gift from me to you.

Just when it seems like the sunsets couldn't get any more beautiful, last night's proved we were wrong. Robert Scarola captured the sunset in all its glory and I thank him for allowing me to share it with you here.

We had some overnight rain, so perhaps the wild mushrooms will begin to pop. One Gray Whale was seen heading south from the Gualala Bluff Trail yesterday. And this morning there were rainbows...you know you are going to have a good day when you start if off with rainbows!
