Jeanne Jackson's love affair with the Mendonoma Coast started many years ago. Along with her husband, Rick, she was always drawn to the Coast, vacationing from the San Francisco Bay Area.
In 1996 the Jacksons realized their dream when they moved to the Coast. Their home is perched on a rocky knoll giving them a view into the world of nature. Trails crisscross their property inviting daily hikes with their golden retriever, Huckleberry, who is pictured below. When the Jacksons lost Huckleberry in June of 2015, they adopted a rescue golden from Taiwan and named him Sunny. He happily joins in the daily nature hikes.
Jeanne continues to write her weekly nature column, Mendonoma Sightings, in the Independent Coast Observer.
